Andy began his career with Dixon in 2007. He has 35 years experience in the electrical construction and maintenance industry including commercial, chemical, petro-chemical, steel and alloy mills, as well as power plant and power generation. Prior to his construction experience, he had four years as an electronics technician in the United States Air Force, and he attended college and studied accounting. He has been a superintendent, estimator, and general foreman, and has experience with design build, safety and teaching. He has completed an Electronics Apprenticeship and has been involved in teaching electrical apprenticeships for twelve years. Andy’s experience also includes pre-job planning and forecasting to complete installation and start up of hot rolling mills, Electromelet arc furnaces, vacuum melt induction furnace, 128 store mall, Ethanol production plant, MTBE and SRU refinery units, bar and wire mills, GE steam turbine generator and GE Frame-five gas turbine generator. Other areas of experience include electrical take-off and construction bidding, computerized reporting and forecasting and superintendent of maintenance (steel mill). Andy is married, has one son and two grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking and painting.
